his career in the tennis industry. He started his career in one of
the best known tennis resorts in the United States at Shipyard
Racquet Club in beautiful Hilton Head Island, South Carolina in the
1980’s. After leaving the Carolinas, Steve was in Washington DC
with Washington Tennis Services and traveled as a Tennis
Professional throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania as Director of Tennis
for various country clubs and tennis clubs.
After teaching professionally for many years
Steve expanded his career in tennis by representing tennis
manufacturers throughout the Midwest with K-Swiss, Prince and Tail
Sportswear.
Steve’s passion for the game and his enjoyment
of improving the tennis game of other players brought him back to
teaching professionally. In 2001, he was on the tennis staff at
Western Reserve Racquet Club. In 2002, Steve joined the staff at
River Oaks. Steve has been the Junior Development Director since
2003 and has also recently been appointed the Director of Player

for K-Swiss and Wilson, and is available to provide assistance with
equipment needs.
Steve’s achievements in tennis are numerous
from a player’s standpoint and as a professional, which gives him a
well balanced perspective on the game. He continues to train to
improve his own game and his short term goal is to attain a national
ranking in his age division. (30’s ~ ha)
Outside of tennis, Steve enjoys art, antiques,
